Synovaq FuelGuard

Know where your fuel is going.

FuelGuard combines non-invasive ultrasonic fuel sensing, compatible Synovaq tracking hardware and centralized monitoring to give operators visibility into fuel levels, refueling activity, low-fuel conditions and abnormal fuel drops.

Ultrasonic fuel level sensor
Fuel is money

You can't control fuel you can't see.

For trucking, construction, mining, generators and equipment-heavy operations, unexplained fuel loss can quietly erode margins. FuelGuard adds a measurable layer of fuel accountability to the assets already keeping your business moving.

Visibility
Fuel-Level Monitoring

Monitor connected fuel-level data instead of relying only on driver reports, receipts or manual tank checks.

Protection
Abnormal Fuel-Drop Alerts

Identify sudden or unusual decreases in measured fuel level so management can investigate possible siphoning, leakage or unexplained loss.

Accountability
Refueling Visibility

See significant increases in measured fuel level and build a clearer record around refueling activity.

Continuity
Low-Fuel Alerts

Use configurable thresholds to help teams act before a vehicle, machine or generator reaches a critical fuel level.

Installation
No Tank Drilling

The ultrasonic sensor uses non-contact measurement and can be mounted externally, avoiding a probe inside the tank.

Integration
Vehicle + Fuel Intelligence

Connect fuel data through compatible tracking hardware so fuel events can be reviewed alongside vehicle location and activity.

FuelGuard is especially valuable where vehicles and machines travel long distances, operate across multiple shifts or carry enough diesel that a single unexplained loss can become expensive.

How FuelGuard works

Measure. Connect. Interpret. Act.

The sensor measures fuel level externally. Compatible tracking hardware receives the sensor output and sends the data over the cellular network. The platform uses tank configuration and calibration to turn those readings into useful operational information.

1. Ultrasonic Sensor

Externally mounted, non-contact measurement at the tank.

2. Synovaq Tracker

Compatible hardware receives sensor data through supported interfaces.

3. Cellular Network

Fuel and vehicle telemetry is transmitted to the platform.

4. Fuel Intelligence

Operators review fuel levels, refueling and configured alerts.

One connected system. No separate fuel-sensor SIM.

In compatible vehicle deployments, the ultrasonic sensor connects to the tracker and the tracker carries the fuel data along with its other telemetry. That reduces complexity and keeps fleet and fuel information tied together.

Use cases

FuelGuard goes far beyond trucks.

The same monitoring concept can support moving fleets, heavy equipment and stationary fuel-dependent infrastructure.

West African trucking fleet

Trucking & Logistics

Review fuel events alongside routes, stops and vehicle activity across long-haul and commercial fleets.

Heavy equipment at an African mining operation

Construction & Mining

Monitor diesel-heavy excavators, loaders, trucks and other equipment operating at remote job sites.

Hospital generator in Africa

Hospitals & Generators

Monitor stationary generator fuel levels, refueling and abnormal drops without treating the generator like a moving vehicle.

Mining equipment in Senegal

Remote Sites

Bring centralized fuel visibility to remote operations where physical tank checks are difficult or inconsistent.

Heavy duty haul trucks

Heavy Equipment Fleets

Extend fuel accountability to large machines and high-capacity diesel assets.

Commercial fleet vehicles in West Africa

Dual-Tank Vehicles

Use compatible tracker configurations to support two fuel sensors where the vehicle operates with dual tanks.

Fuel visibility that protects the operation

Built to protect one of your biggest operating costs.

FuelGuard gives businesses greater visibility and control over fuel across vehicles, equipment and stationary assets—helping teams see what is happening, respond faster and improve accountability.

See Fuel LevelsKnow how much fuel is available without relying solely on manual checks, driver reports or paper records.
Detect Abnormal Fuel DropsGet visibility into sudden fuel loss so management can investigate possible siphoning, leakage or unauthorized activity.
Track Refueling ActivitySee significant increases in fuel level and improve accountability around when assets are refueled.
Protect Stationary GeneratorsMonitor generator fuel at hospitals, hotels, offices, telecom sites, factories and other facilities.
Monitor Heavy EquipmentExtend fuel visibility to trucks, construction equipment, mining operations and other diesel-powered assets.
Manage Dual-Tank VehiclesSupport applicable trucks and equipment that operate with multiple fuel tanks.
Connect Fuel + LocationCombine fuel information with Synovaq Fleet Intelligence to understand what happened, where it happened and when.
Improve Fuel AccountabilityTurn fuel from a hard-to-verify expense into operational information your team can monitor and act on.
Non-invasive ultrasonic monitoring

Monitor the tank without putting a probe inside it.

FuelGuard uses externally mounted ultrasonic sensing technology to measure fuel levels without placing a probe inside the tank. The sensor connects through compatible Synovaq tracking hardware so fuel information can become part of the same connected operational view.
